About Sony:
In 1946 Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morito decided to start an engineering company
in Tokyo, Japan. After the success of their first invention, Japan's first
tape recorder, they decided to build their company and change the name of
their company to the Sony Corporation. Their vision for the company was to
bring technology to the Japanese public and then to the world by focusing on
consumer electronics for the home. Nearly forty years later in 1986 Sony
heads plans to create a lithium rechargeable battery, which helps
revolutionize the battery industry. Among Sony's inventions was the 1995
launch of the Sony Playstation. Later they would also invent the Sony Vaio
