About Gateway:
What is behind the cow-spotted boxes? The signature boxes used for shipping
laptops are a tribute to Tedd Waitt's Iowa upbringing. Waitt founded Gateway
in 1985 in a small Iowa farmhouse using a loan from his grandmother. From
this modest start Gateway has grown to become one of the largest PC
companies in the United States with its headquarters now located in Irvine,
California. As trendsetters, it was one of the first companies to offer
color monitors as standard as well as offer a three year warranty. Gateway
offers a variety of laptop models. Some of their laptop models include the
