About Apple:
Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in 1976.
Since then Apple has become a presence in schools and the global
marketplace. Apple began selling their Apple I, which was not as successful
as Apple's founders would have hoped. They had a lot of competition from
other companies such as IBM and Microsoft. In order to compete with IBM and
Microsoft, Apple decided to make a presence in the California public school
system. By having their computers in schools, Apple generated consumers to
purchase their products because parents knew their children were familiar
with Apple's Macintosh computer. In 1989 the first Macintosh portable
computer went on the market however what brought Apple greater success was
the launch of the PowerBook 100 laptop computer. Their laptop computer line
now extends to the Newton, iBook, StyleWriter, and A1005. For Apple
